Silicon Valley of LA (Playa Vista) Tour

This tour will show you the outside of the legendary aircraft hangar that was used by Hughes Aircraft Company and later Boeing and movie studios for filming the movies “Titanic” and “Independence Day.” Google has transformed the aircraft hangers into a unique office space. The tour will start at Google’s offices then make its way to the heart of Playa Vista, where there are businesses such as a movie theatre, CVS and restaurants. The tour will end at Sol Mexican Cocina for mingling. Tickets cost $18.50 to $25. Register online.

Dog Agility Class

Training builds a common language between humans and their animals and helps develop trust and a healthy relationship. Help strengthen the bond between you and your dog with an interactive introduction to dog agility training offered by Wallis Annenberg PetSpace. These four, one-hour classes will teach your dog the basics of this fun, quickly-growing sport. This class includes an introduction to agility obstacles such as jumps, A-Frame, tunnels, weave poles and pause tables. Dogs should have beginner-level obedience skills. Classes take place outdoors and will be limited to eight dogs. Register now to save your spot. Please bring proof of vaccinations to the class. The 2022 Porsche and Vintage VW Literature, Toy Model and Memorabilia Swap Meet is held in the two large ballrooms on the main floor of the Airport Hilton, very close by Los Angeles International Airport. The public is admitted at 9 a.m. for $10 each at the door. Early bird shoppers are admitted at 7 a.m. for $30 at the door. Children under 12 are free.
