Playa Vista residents got a peek at some of the cutest clothes from local designers on Saturday, Aug. 4, at the newly refurbished Concert Park. Featured designers included Fi and Me, Irene’s Story, Freshgenet, Tianello, and Dot Dot Smile, with Silicon Beach Parents Group founder Gabrielle D’Addario playing host.
Taking in the sunshine, both little girls and boys danced, twirled and strutted across the stage. Some models, including the entire Peacock family, rode scooters in circles around a decorated backdrop that read “Only in Playa Vista.” Dressed in a designer hoodie, riding a Micro Trike, it was little Bowie’s second birthday. The crowd sang him their best wishes.
Panini Kabob Grill at Runway in Playa Vista offered fresh Mediterranean meals for a $5 donation. Proceeds will benefit Safe Place for Youth, a nonprofit that provides mentorship and services for homeless kids and young adults in Venice and other Westside neighborhoods.
