If there’s one thing Playa Vistans love, it’s an active lifestyle. Throw in some costumes and, hey, it’s a party.
On Oct. 27, Elevation Corporate Fitness held its inaugural Monster Dash, a 5K run/walk race for the entire family. The race concluded with a yoga class, free pumpkin pancakes and a costume contest.
Rob Hardin (Anderson), fitness and wellness manager for Elevation Corporate Health and assistant fitness program manager at The Resort, said the goal of Monster Dash is to create a fun sense of community.
“Playa Vista is a special place,” he said, “and events like the Monster Dash are
a great opportunity for folks to reconnect and come together. We hope that all race participants felt a sense of accomplishment and pride as they crossed the finish line at Runway.”
The event raised more than $8,000 for The People Concern and Vista del Mar Family and Child Services.
