Restoration at LAX Dunes

Please join the monthly restoration event at the LAX Dunes. Since 2015, The Bay Foundation, Friends of the Lax Dunes, and Los Angeles World Airports, along with thousands of volunteers, have worked to restore, enhance and protect this unique habitat. Come volunteer to help remove non-native and invasive vegetation and learn more about this historic site. Capping at 50 participants. Register online.

The Ballona Wetlands Community Restoration Project focuses on removing invasive iceplant and other non-native vegetation that can impact native California plants such as pickleweed, salt grass, and alkali weed. Participants will help to remove non-native plants by hand. Capping at 50 participants. Register online. Parking behind Gordon’s/Alka Water Market and a short walk up Culver Boulevard to the restoration site, registration is required.

Stand Up for Pups Comedy Show

Join Annenberg PetSpace as they transform their Barks and Rec play yard into the Westside’s premier comedy venue. Laugh until you cry with your four-legged best friend by your side. Can’t Even Comedy is bringing the best of the best comedians to PetSpace for this hilarious night all for a good cause. Hosted by Caitlin Benson and featuring music by DJ Vfresh, the lineup includes SNL’s Melissa Villaseñor, Ian Bagg, Claire Santangelo, Malik B, Sam Taha, and Julia Austin. Individual seating and tables will be available for you to relax in the PetSpace Barks and Rec play yard. Tickets include two drinks from Three Weavers Brewing. A portion of ticket sales will go towards the PetSpace Extraordinary Care Fund. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. Tickets range from $20 to $30, purchase online. Dog-friendly event, recommended for audience members 18 and up. Food trucks will be pulling up slinging delicious bites.
