Winners of the The Argonaut’s annual Best of the Westside readers’ poll flocked to the Annenberg PetSpace on Sept. 26 to celebrate with food and beverages provided by local restaurants.
Café del Rey shucked oysters on the half shell, Benny’s Tacos grilled chicken quesadillas, The Shack served hot wings, and Tony P’s Dockside Grill poured their famous mai tais. Kinecta Federal Credit Union sponsored the event.
This year’s Best of the Westside issue also celebrated local animal rescue and adoption agencies that are literally saving the lives of cats, dogs, birds, rabbits and farm animals. That’s why PetSpace made the perfect location for the party — guests could sip and nibble before heading upstairs to meet available cats and dogs.
The Argonaut publishes Best of the Westside each fall as a reminder to support the local small businesses, schools and institutions that contribute to local culture and quality of life.
