For our special July/August issue we shine the spotlight on businesses and individuals who are serving the community in different ways. On the cover we feature Team Tami, a local realty team led by Playa Vista resident Tami Humphrey that is committed to making a difference in the lives of families and the community.
After fleeing Russia during the Ukraine invasion, professional ballet dancer Adrian Blake Mitchell is back in Playa Vista, where he is working to expand the outreach of the art form in the community and opening access for local dancers of color.
Seventeen-year-old Max Huber is passionate about helping animals and has volunteered more than 300 hours of his time at Wallis Annenberg PetSpace, where he helps out with everything from dog training classes to animal care and guest services.
If you’re looking for some family-friendly fun this summer, the brand-new Topgolf facility in El Segundo features the latest technology including climate-controlled outdoor hitting bays, a restaurant and sports bar, along with music and year-round programming for all ages. And if you’re in need of some self-care, The NOW Massage South Bay offers a chic space with affordable services, while Pause Studio’s innovative and holistic wellness treatments include cryotherapy and infrared saunas to help guests work, sleep and perform at their best.
We also highlight our favorite fragrances and beverages, as well as upcoming events to check out this summer including National Night Out, where you can meet the community’s local police officers while enjoying good food and family activities. Wishing everyone a fun and safe summer!
