Celia Center Arts Festival

In recognition of November as National Adoption Awareness Month, the nonprofit group Celia Center will showcase work from diverse artists who’ve experienced foster care. The exhibit is “Adopting Resilience, Fostering the Spirit of Creativity: The Voices of the Fostered and Adopted.” Celia Center hosts adoption-focused support groups, workshops and events alongside this festival.

Maya de Vitry

Maya de Vitry is a dynamic and vibrant folk vocalist described as having “soulful intimacy.” She was a founding member of country band The Stray Birds, which separated in 2018. Earlier this year, de Vitry released her newest album “The Only Moment.”

Frida and Flamenco Show

Celebrate Hispanic heritage and enjoy a concert filled with flamenco and Folklorico dancing. Del Sol Productions and the Electric Lodge presents renowned Spanish Flamenco guitarist, singer and composer Juan Jose Alba. Alba has appeared on “La Voz Global” (“The Voice”) in Spain, and he received an award for his latest CD “Intraverso” at the New Mexico Award Festival. Alongside Alba is Corina Del Sol, the artistic director of Del Sol Productions and flamenco dancer. She will be joined by a cast full of international performers.

“Locals’ Night at the Santa Monica Pier”

These pier nights mark the first day of Holiday Cheer on the Pier, a celebration with performances from the likes of Bob Baker’s Marionette Theater and the Santa Monica Ballet Folklorico. Also available is the Holiday Art Mart, a gift shop with unique merchandise sold by artisans and local businesses.

Chiddy Bang

Hip-hop artist Chidera Anamege, known as Chiddy Bang, formed the duo group under the same name alongside Noah “Xaphoon Jones” Beresin in the 2010s. Together, the duo produced hits like “Here We Go,” “Mind Your Manners” and “Opposite of Adults.” Since splitting up, Chiddy continued releasing music as a solo artist with last year’s album “Saved by the Swell.”

“Thanksgiving at Superfine”

Chef Steve from Superfine will prepare a Thanksgiving meal for six. The 12- to 14-pound turkey comes uncooked — with roasting instructions — alongside side dishes of chestnut, porcini and sage stuffing; cranberry blood orange sauce; candied yams; parmesan mashed potatoes; marsala gravy; roasted brussels sprouts with ginger and persimmon; and pumpkin bread pudding with dulce de leche sauce. Doobie Doubles

Doobie Doubles pays tribute to the soft rock and pop band the Doobie Brothers. Hiroya Tsukamoto

Hiroya Tsukamoto is a Japanese fingerstyle guitarist who moved to the United States in 2000. Tsukamoto became famous for his soul-filled fingerpicking performances that combined instrumental guitaring with lyrics that reflect his real life. He placed second at the International Fingerstyle Guitar Championship in 2018 and 2022.

“Love and Liberation”

“Romeo and Juliet”

“Journeys of Belonging”

This exhibition forms an impactful narrative about the strength and courage of resilience and courage of immigrants. The artist Oluwatobi Adewumi migrated to the United States in 2016, and before then, he had never considered himself “Black.” In his homeland of Nigeria, folks do not define people by race. He hopes his work shows the emotions of hope and determination among African immigrants who come to the United States.

Ice at Santa Monica

“Ice at Santa Monica” is a performance presented by Disney+ and is a holiday tradition for the city. A seemingly innocuous street corner will be transformed into a winter wonderland, full of holiday magic. This production is a partnership between the LA-based Willy Bietak Productions and will include a full ice skating rink with plenty of other festivities to participate in throughout the winter.
