Dogs and their humans celebrated the first anniFURsary of the Wallis Annenberg PetSpace on June 24. The unique pet rescue, adoption and education nonprofit offered party guests behind-the-scenes tours, grooming demos, and lots of entertainment to keep the fun going.
Nick Olate, the charismatic leader of the performing dog troupe that won Season 7 of “America’s Got Talent,” put on quite the canine variety show. With many of the dogs being rescues, it was a doggone delight to see them perform tricks and don fanciful costumes.
Lucy Pet Foundation’s Wave Maker literally brought the ocean in a truck. The 90-foot wave tank filled with 6,000 gallons of water allowed a rapt audience to watch surfing pooches in sunglasses. The Lucy Pet foundation offers spay/neuter and adoption mobile clinics in every major city in the United States.
