Adoptable Pets

January 27, 2022 by kkirk@timespublications.com Leave a Comment

The coolest buddies in Playa Vista are waiting for their new forever homes

FROM ANNENBERG PETSPACE

Sonoma

Sonoma is an older gal who is looking for a nice, caring home. She is outgoing, social, and enjoys being around people. She’ll happily become your walking companion and can even get along with other dogs nicely.

Stop by and visit her soon!

Tuti

Tuti is a sweet senior who is looking for a home where she can relax with a loving pet parent. She has hypothyroidism, which requires medication, but she’s still very easygoing. She’ll be your sidekick on light walks or when hanging out at home. Meet her to see if you’re a match!

Bodega

Bodega is a kind old soul who needs to experience love and care at the end of his life. This senior is searching for a foster hospice situation with a pet parent who can take him on casual walks and give him lots of affection. He tends to be blissfully unaware of his surroundings and is generally easygoing. Annenberg PetSpace will cover his medical needs while in foster hospice. Speak with an Adoption Specialist for details.

Positive Reinforcement Training

By Katie McGuire, CPDT-KA

January is National Train Your Dog Month! Whether you’ve just started the training process or are looking for a new method, positive reinforcement is a foundational part of dog training. Science-backed and preferred by professional trainers, this approach allows you to strengthen your bond with your pet while teaching them new behaviors.

This approach is a proactive method that supports preferred actions you want your dog to complete, rather than punishing them for mistakes, misunderstandings, or what is seen as a “bad” behavior. Register for a class at Annenberg PetSpace or find a Certified Professional Dog Trainer in your area!
